Well, as you may know, my brain is a roiling miasma of ideas—most of which I’ll never have time to write about.
Recently I’ve had an idea—actually, a revamp of an old idea. I was reading the Animorphs Series around 6 years ago and had an idea from a dream I had, doubtlessly related to my reading.
I won’t post the original story (unless everyone has time to read it) but I need some ideas for a certain part of the story.
I won’t reveal everything—cause I’m planning on making this into a serial story so I can keep it going and finish it without stopping my work on my other ideas.
In this revamped version, the wolf pack is made up of eight wolves—each with a role in the group to play. Here are the ones I’ve come up with.
The Watcher Good spy, is often silent, watches and plans. Sees the grand scheme of things through observation. A good analyst.
The Warrior The fighter, the most skilled in combat.
The Healer The doctor, the one who can heal the physical, both with powers and normal care.
The Prophet Can see the future in small glimpses, has dreams, but is sometimes unable to interpret them.
The Ruler The leader, the one who makes the final decisions, takes responsibility, and is second in combat to the warrior.
The Teacher The most knowledgeable. Has a supernaturally photographic memory. Can interpret the dreams of the Prophet and sometimes has knowledge that he normally couldn’t know.
The Judge Can sense motivations and emotions. Is the moral compass of the team, keeps them focused in the right direction and doing the right things. Advises the Ruler on moral decisions.
The Seeker The searcher and the scout. Looks for things and people and can find them. They are drawn to others of the wolf kind, so are charged to find replacements when someone dies.
But, basically, I’m not sure I’m happy with these roles and powers. Some are too similar.
So I’m calling on you, my creative audience, to give me ideas for new roles, better roles, and better descriptions. If you do good enough ( 🙂 ) I will post the first blurb I’ve done on this story.
And maybe a pitch. I love pitches.
